Political Rant

Under: Rants
Let me guess: you're terribly annoyed that I have the gall to put my political views online? It's not like there are all ready a billion other people complaining on twitter and facebook about who they want to be president and why anyone who disagrees with them is not only wrong, but also supports socialism, SOPA, and hates puppies? Yeah, it's stretching towards the absurd lately.
Don't worry, I'm not here to tell you who to vote for, or everything that you hate/love based on your preferred candidate. I'm here to say what I don't want to put on facebook because I don't like the people who think that facebook is their own personal blog anymore than you do. This is my personal blog, on which I shall write what I please.
Now, may I propose the idea that there is not a single candidate in existence who can save this country? Yep, I said it. This country is not a good manner. I love America! Do not get me wrong. I am proud to be an America. I am also, however, willing to admit that our country has her issues. Like, how religious freedom now means that any religious association shown school, court, the workplace, etc. is banned, and how anorexia is more despised than obesity, even though obesity is at least as bad (although that last one is another rant for another blog post). I'm not capable of bringing forth some revolutionary economic plan that can make rich people who are only bankrupt because they have not the ability to handle money, neither am I leading some crusade against ACLU (no matter how badly I want to). All I'm saying is that until the people of this country turn their hearts back to the sovereign, loving God who created them and gave them their government, and their freedom, there will be no one to fight for that freedom which is so precious to us. Until the people of this country are willing to stand up, mature themselves, shape up to what a country ought to be, there is no political candidate who can save us. A people after God will be capable of producing a country that is fair, and free, and strong. A people after alcohol, spending money and thinking that the government should pay their bills, thinking that all that matters is this life, will produce a country with the same outlook, and no candidate can change that.
